Cancelled

Due to various reasons, we regret to inform you that this trip has been cancelled for Summer 2006. Please join us in 2007!

Site and people

We will be working in a city with a university in Northwest Russia and will wait to hear more from InterVarsity's sister student movement to specify exactly where.

Ministry

Through a typical lingua-cultural exchange ministry format, we will assist the ministry of CCX (pronounced ess-ess-ha), InterVarsity's sister student ministry movement in Russia. A lingua-cultural format means that, as a participant, you will be living as a roommate with a Russian student (likely very fluent in English) and sharing conversation (so he/she can practice English), friendship, and faith with him or her. CCX has an ongoing ministry in Northwest Russia, and we pray that, through our efforts, God would help further establish the work there!

Goals

Orientation and re-entry
As part of our project, we will spend time in orientation, familiarizing ourselves with a part of Russian culture, and debriefing, preparing to return home after a cross-cultural missions experience. Both will be done on-site or en route.
